Carat (ct.) Size guide

The diamond Carat is the international unit of weight, used for measuring diamonds and gemstones. 1 carat is equal to 200 milligrams, or 0.2 grams.

Most people would think that buying a diamond is all about the diamond carat size, this is evident when showing off the ring people immediately ask what carat is the diamond.

Ideally anything above 0.5 of a Carat is going to stand out, however it is essential that you don’t compromise on the Cut, Clarity and Colour in order to buy a bigger diamond with no sparkle or wow factor.

This carat chart is an excellent way to give people an idea of the size of ring that they should have. However, carat isn’t the only thing to take into account when buying a diamond. Cut, clarity, and shape are other important factors.

      Hi Josh,

      Thank you for your comment!

I agree with you 100% the size of the diamond should never compromise the cut clarity or colour. Otherwise you will be left with a big diamond that has no sparkle.
      Many Thanks Naeem
